SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR AND TRADE SHOW REPRESENTATIVE
Part-Time Position (Eastern United States)
Part-time to start but has the potential to expand to a full-time job.
This would be a remote position, working from home. We are looking for an individual in the Eastern United States to manage our social media and help set-up/attend pet trade shows, reptile shows, and distributor meetings (2-3 times a year). You would represent Galápagos at shows such as: Global Pet Expo, SuperZoo, NARBC: Tinley, and more.
What you will do:
- Organize, maintain and publish social media content across key platforms
- Seek out opportunities to increase growth and engagement through both domestic and international outlets
- Creation and formatting of social content to ensure maximum impact
- Able to vend pet trade shows and reptile shows
What you need:
- Creative, open, and highly motivated
- Involved in the pet industry and knowledgeable about a variety of species; specifically reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates
- Relevant experience in social media management with reptiles and animals
- Avid social media user and passionate about the possibilities and potential of social media
- Knowledge of social media publishing suites, reporting tools and basic design skills
- Strong communication skills (Bilingual a plus)
